- Company incorporation;
- Registration with the Central Bank and Remittance of capital to Brazil;
- Obtaining permanent residence visa;
- Brazilian personal documents (CPF - current RNE CRNM)
For this type of investment, it is mandatory to register with the Central Bank of Brazil - IED module, for both the company and the investor, whether an individual or a legal entity. The initial investment, its mutations, and all corporate or contractual events that alter the investor's equity participation must be registered with the Central Bank.
There are several ways for the investor to participate in the company's share capital in Brazil, and the registration with the Central Bank must be made within 30 days;
- Entry of currency and assets into the country;
- Conversion into investment;
- Swap of equity participation;
- Contribution of quotas or shares;
- Earnings obtained by non-resident investors; and
- Sale or assignment to a national or foreign investor.
